Inspire Me! (Random Thoughts part 3)

Welcome back, friends to another edition of my random thoughts here on The Chatterbox Blog!

So I’m now labeling my Random Thoughts with a subject rather than just Random Thoughts. Somebody told me that even if I have a blog following, viewers like to know kind of what to expect rather than “I like to eat hot sauce n my eggs.” I guess it’s a valid point. Nobody is going to get excited or “inspired” for something like that. So let’s try a different approach!

I’ve been noticing alot lately that certain kinds of foods are affecting the way my body works for the day. For instance, I’ve been eating quite a bit of fast food lately and I can feel a difference in how my body is responding. I’ve been sluggish and in a state of mind to procrastinate (hence the lack of blog posts and graphic design work I’ve been sharing). Today, I willed myself to wake up a little early and prepare a nice Greeney salad with Tuna topping it. So far so good. I feel energized and excited at the possibility to put a stamp on the end of my day! I will touch base with more of my food experimenting in future blogs.

I labeled this entry as “Inspire Me!” because I have been feeling uninspired with things lately and am having a hard time coming up with inspiration to get my creative juices flowing. I have tons of wonderful starter ideas, but have been struggling to find the motivation to act on them. What the heck is my problem?

In closing of this entry, I’d like to reach out for inspiration. The best comments, twitter replies, or e-mails will be posted here and I’ll write about each one! In the mean time, I’m going to keep searching as well. Be sure to follow me on twitter (if you aren’t already) @_The_Chatterbox. Hey! I recently hit 100+ followers! That should be reason enough for inspiration, right? Of course it is! Until next time…

Random Thoughts part 2

Good afternoon and welcome back to another edition of my random thoughts!

I want to host my own Haunted House! I have tons of amazing ideas and I want to put them into great use. The main idea I want to promote is a haunted house that you definitely get messy at. I imagine it would be legendary. Anybody want to donate? 😀

I’m also looking for a business partner to start a children’s t-shirt printing company. Any takers?

What is with people and their love affair with negativity? I logged into Yahoo the other day and there was an article about Taylor Momsen announcing that she is retiring from acting to focus more on her music career. There were like 50 messages from people with hateful comments like “I didn’t even know who she is, so who cares.” or “newsflash, you don’t have much of a music career, so better rethink retirement.” and so on. The negative comments should be made towards Yahoo for making it a headline. She simply stated that she wasn’t going to act anymore and they turned it into a big press release headline. Must’ve been a slow news day!

I’m currently working on a new logo to display on my blog, twitter, etc. but am struggling with creativity block. Don’t you just hate that?

Speaking of twitter…

I am strongly urging you to write to the controllers of Twitter to allow me the rights to @TheChatterbox. The person, who currently holds it follows 0 people, is followed by 0 people, has 0 favorites, and has 0 posts. It’s basically some joker who thought it’d be cute to reserve a handle. Let’s get a petition going. It’s not like I’m petitioning to let me take over @BradPitt or @GeorgeClooney. It’s simply to be able to use one of the better names on twitter. For the time being, follow me @_The_Chatterbox

The current cooler temperatures in the Mid-Ohio area has got me thinking about Halloween already. I’ve had the urge to start laying out my display for the season. It’s too soon to start releasing spoilers, but I believe it’s going to be EPIC! 😀 Last year, I dressed as Lots-O-Huggin’ Bear from Toy Story 3 and even designed a Pumpkin to look like him. Peep these pics below! Each year, I try to top myself so it’s got to be incredible this year!

My Lot's-O-Huggin' Bear Pumpkin! Sweet eh?

That Pumpkin looks gorgeous! My wife looked at it and said "You're out of control". LOL

Also! In other big news, I am 90% signed up and ready to resume my digital media degree program through North Central State College! I’m very excited about this. I initially started through Westwood College Online and it was not very “user friendly” to say the least.

So for now, I believe this concludes part 2 of my Random Thoughts. Until next time…

Random Thoughts part 1

Thanks for visiting The Chatterbox Blog. This is the first edition of my Random Thoughts to be posted on WordPress. In my past blogging experience, this seemed to be the bulk of my writing…

Whoever came up with the phrase “the customer is always right” is an idiot! 9.5 times out of 10, the customer just wants to be a jerk. “I realized that I placed an order for the purple Justin Bieber shirt, but I was trying to order the black Cher shirt instead! The customer is always right, right?” The answer is no! I don’t think that phrase has ever changed things for anybody. “Of course I smeared Peanut Butter in the hotel dvd player tray, but there is no signage anywhere that says I can’t do that. The customer is always right… right?”

I’m obsessed with vintage style T-shirts. They just feel right!

Is it weird that I know without even looking how long Kraft EasyMac goes in the microwave for?

I love black Sharpie markers. It’s nice to be able to just put that out there.

I get extremely irritated when I stop for gas in the morning on my way to work and get held up by somebody who clearly looks like they are NOT going to work (typically sweatpants is the giveaway) buying $40 to $50 off scratch off tickets. Not all the same, but different and then proceed to stand there and scratch them on the counter.

Speaking of gas stations, I hate when people complain about gas prices, but burn through a carton of cigarettes every other day. It just seems pointless that people complain about paying the same price to fill a small car’s gas tank as it does to buy a carton of cigarettes.

I would love to start learning/doing Yoga. I think it could be very beneficial to me and my 20 minute routine to get out of bed each morning.

I also want to learn how to go under water without dying if I don’t plug my nose. I feel this may be the reason why I haven’t fully committed to trying to participate in ABC’s Wipeout. Hurm…

I believe this concludes my first edition of Random Thoughts. The thoughts keep pouring in (especially when I should be sleeping), so I’ll be sure to keep sharing. Until next time…
